Acronis Secure Zone on GPT drive

Thread needs solution

I have Acronis True Image 2013 PlusPack and I just want to create a Secure Zone on a GPT organized 3 TB HDD. The problem is that ATI doesn't let me create the Secure Zone on that drive unless I change the drive to MBR. But then I don't have the full capacity available or I don't have the correct split I want to do at this drive: I want to use 2 TB for data (1850 GB) and around 1 TB for the Secure Zone.

Where's the problem in the year 2013 A.D. to create a Secure Zone on a GPT drive?

Any other idea to have a safe backup zone on an internal drive?

Is this your OS drive?

Why do you want to use the Acronis Secure Zone? You can make backups more easily and flexibly without the ASZ.

My intention is to have the backup data a little bit protected from unattended access.

As the SZ can not be made on a GPT disk, why not just partition the disk to use the spare space? The only thing you won't be able to do is to hide the partition as a proper SZ does, just name the partition something like 'system_images' and give it a drive letter way up the alphabet such as W or Q..
