True Image incompatible with Diskeeper
Diskeeper 2010 Home readme file says it is incompatible with Acronis True Image. Not clear if that means it should not run while True Image is doing continuous backups or what?

James,
I have DiskKeeper 11 pro, it runs fine with TI 2010:7046.
I would suggest that if you have the autodefrag option enabled that you pause or disbale it when making an image. The problem with any defragmenting software is that because it rearranges the disk contents, TI will consider the complete disk contents altered, so if you have a task as an incremental, you will find that after PD has run, the next incremental/differential will be the same size as a Full image.

Colin,
It's a few years since your post, but I'm wondering if you've had any experience with Diskeeper 12 Pro while used with Acronis Backup and Recovery 11.5 ... I'm also wondering if you will still be here :-)?
Like you, I used Diskeeper 11 Pro Premier with Acronis B&R 11 and had no issues. However, when Diskeeper 12 came out last July and I installed the upgrade (I've always had a maintenance plan), I found that I repeatedly lost my System Drive after re-boots, as there was some fundamental conflict between Diskeeper 12 and Acronis B&R 11.
I wrote to Diskeeper support and they advised the two programs were incompatible, as per the OPs comments regarding the Diskeeper 2010 Home readme file. As I have a large system with numerous drives hanging off a MegaRAID SAS 9266-8i and having used Diskeeper for the last 7 years or so, I feel I really need the benefits it provides. However, I was a huge fan of Acronis B&R 11 and it enabled me to restore my system back to health every time during this period of system crashes brought on by the conflict between the programs.
Unfortunately, Diskeeper support advised I had no option but to use different backup software ... in fact ANY other backup software than Acronis, which was allegedly the only backup software they had detected a conflict with.
So if you, or any other users of Acronis Backup and Recovery 11.5 have had any experience with Diskeeper 12, I'd very much appreciate any news on compatibility from an Acronis perspective.
Thanks in advance.
Rick

Richard,
I'm afraid I have switched to PerfectDisk 12, so can't offer any help as far as Diskeeper is concerned.

Colin,
Thanks for the reply. I know this is totally off-thread, so I'll keep it short. Clearly PerfectDisk 12 must work with Acronis B&R 11.5, as I see you are using both. Are you happy with PerfectDisk, given your experience with Diskeeper? I would like to be able to resume using ABR 11.5 Workstation again and I'd be prepared to move to PerfectDisk if it works as well as Diskeeper.
Thanks,
Rick

I haven't had any problems with PD and ABR11.5. Note i have one SSD drive and two spin drives, the OS being on the SSD.
