Recovery Task stuck at 0% after start; hard drive activity is shown

I am trying to restore an image I made of a client's system. I made the image with Backup and Recovery 10. The image resides on an 1 TB Western Digital Passport USB 3.0 edition. The image is 198 GB in size. The image comprises of a FAT16 partition (32 MB) a Recovery partition (13 GB) and an OS partition (452 GB). I have tried restoring using both linux-style and windows style drive letters.

My problem is that once I chose all the required settings for the job, I see the Task window pop up and the progress bar shows 0%. After about two minutes, my hard drive light on the Laptop "DELL Latitude 6530" and the hard drive light on the WD drive both start flashing. The progress bar does not move, even after 3 hours of waiting. I have tried restoring both the volumes individually and the whole disk from the image.
