True Image 2013 tries to run a backup that has been deleted

Thread needs solution

I have a problem with True Image that is trying to execute a backup that I deleted. As a result, it can not found the old backup tib files and I get stuck with an error message that I have to cancel in order that the current and valid backup's can complete. I tried everything I could think about including deleting all the backup definitions and associated data and re-create all the backup definitions. The new backups work just fine but the "gosh" backups still trying to execute.

Any suggestion about how to solve this is very welcome as it really defeats the purpose of automated backup.

Thanks.

These "ghost" backups are usually scheduled tasks that have not been deleted in the Acronis scheduler.

Download the Schedule Manager and delete all your scheduled tasks with it. (This does not delete the task you have set up in Acronis, but only the scheduling of them).

You will need to reschedule the existing tasks.

See the section on Managing Scheduled Tasks - esp. TASK ZAP command

Thanks James. I'll give it a try tomorrow morning but that really looks like what is going on. Just curious... Any idea about how these tasks got set? I always use the GUI and the documented procedures to create and delete backups and I would expect that that would take care of setting up the tasks correctly. Just trying to avoid creating new ghost tasks in the future. And thanks again.
