True Image Home 2013 Backup Tasks For Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit Task Scheduler

Thread needs solution

I need to schedule True Image Home 2013 backups using Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Task Scheduler. I've see the KB where a desktop shortcut is created for each TIH 2013 backup task then called by the Windows 7 Task Scheduler. Is this the only way to "pass" TIH 2013 backup tasks to the Windows 7 Task Scheduler? Is there some sort of TIH 2013 backup task name syntax that can be used directly in the Windows 7 Scheduler?

Many Thanks,

Bill,

The use of Windows task scheduler is pretty straight forward. The purpose behind creating the shortcut is to identify the actual script used for the backup task.

While the shortcut can be called using the task scheduler, a better way is to use task scheduler to launch True Image with the correct command line (and related task script file). Once you have identified the correct script from the shortcut, the shortcut is no longer needed and can be deleted.

See this post for instructions on this method: http://forum.acronis.com/system/files/mvp/user285/guides/win7scheduler…

James,

I'm not sure if Bill will have access via that link.

This one might work http://forum.acronis.com/sites/default/files/mvp/user285/guides/win7sch… if the other one doesn't.

Thank you both for responding so quickly. I was able to get to the link and print the document. This is exactly what I was looking for!
