BSOD (blue screen and Windows 7 restart) while installing Acronis True Image 2013 update

Thread needs solution

Tried twice to install Acronis True Image update on a new Windows 7 - based PC.
While installing a BSOD appears and system restart. I tried to suspend for an hour the Kaspersky Internet Antivirus 2013 , but nothing change.
Please can you tell me how to manage it ?
Thanks.

Benedetto,

Have you had a previous version of True Image installed?

What is the BSOD text and code?

Yes i had True Image 2013 installed before. Later i'll tell you BSOD text and code. Can I upload dump file here ?
Thanks.

No, don't upload a dump file here, also it'll possibly be too big for the forum quota.

Just the BSOD text and code should be enough to get going.

With the previous build of TI did you have the Secure Zone activated or the Acronis Start Up and Recovery Manager? If yes, disable them before trying the update.

If you are updating from the TI update facility, try downloading the actual installer file from your account instead.

Hello and thanks for your support. Tried to uninstall True Image 2013 then restarted and installed latest version downloaded.
Same problem. BSOD STOP: 0x0000007E
klif.sys

after restart got an error saying driver for Acronis Virtual Disk Bus cannot be found.
using windows 7 64 bit on a ASUS P8H61 2gen based PC.
At this time, cannot install Acronis True Image 2013 on that PC (with regular license).
Using Kaspersky Internet Security 2013 as antivirus software.

Thanks.
Best regards.

This is definitely a problem with KIS and True Image 2013.

I would suggest that you try and remove True Image 2013 (if installed still) and then run the True Image cleanup utility located here: http://kb.acronis.com/content/34876

After running the Cleanup utility, reboot, and then try the install of True Image 2013 build 6514 again.

If this still fails, run the cleanup utility again, reboot and remove KIS 2013, reboot, install True Image 2013, and then KIS 2013 afterwards.
