UAC local user workstation Email

Thread needs solution

Hello

I came from using Acronis 2009 in an XP Pro Domain Controller Environment.
I had to upgrade to Aconis 2013 and just installed the application in a Windows 7 Pro 64 bit Domain Controller Environment.

I installed the application on one workstation as a test.
I then logged off as domain admin and logged in as the user of that workstation.
I then launched ATI and received the usual 'user account control' screen.

I was required to enter domain admin credentials.

The difficult I had in my first inspection of this new interface was to backup the email.
In this test run I wanted to backup user 'Jules' email.
The ATI backup instead accessed the user files domain admin.

On every workstation in our domain that I will install ATI I need to backup the users data and emails.
With the UAC interface I feel there are additional steps to creating a definite user backup strategy.
In my first test run I was unable to backup Jule's email.

Thanks for any advise

I can't help with the specifics of an "Email" backup on a Domain connected system, but this issue is present on multiple account systems with admin and non-admin users. (Seems similar in scope)

I could not find a way to reliably back up email on a non-admin user account with True Image's Email backup function. The same issues with backing up the admin account email (instead of the logged in non-admin user) exist in this environment.

I finally decided not to use the Email backup at all, and instead made sure the PST files associated with the users Email were backed up in a file/folder backup as well as the disk partition backups of the system.

Maybe someone else that has a similar setup to yours or someone who has multiple non-admin users that has figured out a way to make the Email backup work could post their solution here.

Understood : Drill down to \user\useretcetc \appdata\microsoft\outlook > pst
and include that in the data backup.

Thanks
