Can't sign in to use Sync feature

Thread needs solution

I just purchased a second copy of True Image 2013 Home for my laptop, so that I can sync folders with my desktop PC. On the laptop I can sign in with my Acronis account and Sync works fine. On the desktop, I can't sign in to my Acronis account. It continually tells me to "check your Internet connection or try again later". This has been going on for two days. Any thoughts on what's wrong? I've been using True Image 2013 Home on the desktop for many months; I just wasn't using the sync feature.

Are these two being connected via the same router and same ISP connection?
