Laptop recovery using USB HDD and subsequent cloud file backup will not update cloud files

Thread needs solution

Hi everyone,

A week ago I had a laptop crash and was unable to recover it without reloading windows. I reloaded Windows from scratch, and then recovered my laptop to February which was my last Acronis HDD full system backup. Great, but that backup didn't have all my recent photo's etc on it, but thankfully I had purchased the cloud backup service that I use for all my important files (including photos) and downloaded all the recent data from the cloud. Great - the system works and has saved the day. The only issue I have now is that when I try using the cloud backup to backup my files, I am getting the message 'An online backup with the same name already exists'. The Only way around this that I see is to delete the online backup and start again, but I don't want to do that because I have about 200GB of data already uploaded and that originally took forever. Does anyone know how I can get the online backup to just update the backup with the new data (as before the crash). I think the problem may lie with the fact that the full system backup took me back to Feb, and I only purchased the online facility in April, and therefore the cloud maybe doesn't have the required base control data to just update my files.
Please help
Thanks

Kevin,

I think this may need to be posed to Acronis support. There is no charge for support since you have an active Online backup subscription.

When starting you support case, do not select 2013 as the product, but select "I am using Online backup" from the product dropdown list.
