Does anyone have a copy of ATIH 2010 Plus Pack for Windows?
I spent much of last night searching for a copy of ATIH 2010 Plus Pack for Windows, hoping it would help me solve my DIRE restore problems (more on that in another post). It's no longer sold anywhere.
I do not want to upgrade my version of Acronis because I'm unhappy with this product. I've had two catastrophic drive crashes this year. Both times I had backups through Acronis, and both times I was unable to access them.
Acronis says they provide lifetime recovery support, but when I ask for help, they try to upsell me.
Anyway, if anyone has ATIH 2010 Plus Pack for Windows, please send me a private message. I searched the Web for it last night - looking to buy it, not pirate it - but all I got for my trouble was a virus that took me 2 hours to clear off.
Thanks.

I didn't buy the Plus Pack for TI2010 when it was available for sale, so it's not on my account. If it was, I wouldn't have posted here asking if someone could help me. I no longer can buy it now - it's not offered for sale.
I have a crashed hard disk and I'm not able to recover from my backup. I need the Plus Pack. Please, someone help me. Send me a PM if you have the Plus Pack for TI2010.
Thank you.
P.S. I did buy both ATIH 2009 and ATIH 2010. They have my money, and I have no recovery when I need it.

Much of the success or failure of a restore depends upon what type of backup you did. If your hard disk crashes and a complete restore is needed, sometimes that's not possible if the user backed up only C:.
I've done hundreds of True Image full disk restores on many types of hardware, as well as individual partition and file restores, and it has worked well. However, this is complex software doing critical functions and there is a learning curve. Ideally, it's worth learning the ins and outs before you have a critical emergency.
Why do you think the Plus Pack is needed? As long as the ATI bootable Rescue Media recognizes your hardware and boots, you shouldn't need the Plus Pack.

The bootable rescue media doesn't work at all. It thinks I don't have a hard disk.
What crashed was an SSD. I replaced it with an HDD because I don't trust SSDs anymore. That's why I think I need the Plus Pack - I'm restoring to different media. But I haven't even been able to get to that point because of endless bugs and problems with the Acronis software. And by the way, I'm not a techno newbie. I'm a programmer and a long-time computer journalist with very strong technical knowledge.
I just purchased Acronis True Image 2013 with the Plus Pack on eBay. I have to wait for it to ship. I did it that way because I didn't buy the Plus Pack originally, so Acronis wanted to charge me $60 for the upgrade with the Plus Pack. In March, they would have given me the Plus Pack for free - they had a promotion going then. But I missed that. I should not have had to pay more to get my backup restored.

Can I ask, why do you need the Plus Pack?
If the "regular" True Image 2010 will work, it's available on eBay, search for "Acronis 2010".
If you want the Plus Pack to build the Windows AIK restore disk, I have a script for True Image 2010 for WinBuilder (Win7PE-SE or Win8PE-SE) that does not require the Plus Pack. I use that daily, and it has no problems or inconsistencies that I'm aware of.

Paul, if you read the message I posted right above yours, you'll see the answers to your questions and comments.

You need the Plus Pack only if Windows requires new drivers for chipset, HDD controller and such. Swapping disks on the same SATA cable doesn't require it.

I've had that problem, too. When I upgraded to a new computer (the one whose SSD recently crashed), I couldn't move my backup over. There's more to that story, but I don't feel like typing it all out.
