True Image Won't Work
I have a new Gateway laptop with Windows 8 Pro 64. It has a 500GB HD. I bought a 256 GB SSD and tried using True Image 2013 to clone the HD. Acronis goes to the black screen and says it is starting the process, but several hours later the black screen is still there with the one line message. It is frozen. I've tried several different things and finally I got an error message telling me why it would not clone nor make an image - "GPT disks only." In other words, the SSD must be a GPT disk. Acronis will not perform what I bought it to do because of this GPT restriction. Is there a way around all this so I can use Acronis True Image 2013, or did I spend my money for nothing? If there is no way for the program to work, how do I get my money back?

Monte,
Whilst I would suggest that imaging is a better way to go, there are a number of things you could try in regards cloning.
What build are you using?
1. Clone by booting from the recovery CD, not from within Windows.

Colin B,
Thanks. I never tried that particular solution. It worked. Thanks a lot.
