Use of NTFS USN/change journals by True Image 2012

Thread needs solution

Does True Image 2012 make use of NTFS change journals to save time and disk access when creating incremental or differential or "nonstop" backups?

For incremental or differential disk/partition images, True Image looks for sectors that have changed.

Fine, but is it recreating the wheel from scratch by scanning the volume sector by sector, or is it using the volume's change journal to identify precisely which ones have changed? The former is a waste of resources when the journal is already a record of those changes, recorded at the instant they occurred.
