Acronis True Image 11 Issues - Hard Drive Not Dectected
Hello all I'm wondering if you can help me.
I'm running Windows 7 with Acronis True Image 11 and it's never really let me down. I store all my backups of my drives onto an external drive.
Now for some or known reason Acronis has a grudge it's seeing this one particular drive when I go through the backup wizard all my Drives are Sata and I have an SSD included.
I have the 2010 version too see if it's software issues and I've even re-installed Windows 7 to see if it's an O/S issue and this problem still remains.
Have any of you had this problem and what did you do to as a fix?
Thanks in advance
Rob

Hello
This is Acronis True Image 11 Home, this happens when in Windows and like wise using the Recovery CD.
The External Drive Is Fine Acronis picks that up fine.
I've tried re-installing it many times - no change.
All My other Drives are fine and Acronis picks those up but not this said drive.... the only change really is that I added an SSD.

Perhaps I am not understanding correcty.
Are you attempting to install the SSD for the first time and the disk is not seen? or is the SSD already installed?
The old version 11 was prior to Windows 7 and SSD devices. Support for Win 7 began with verson 2010.
If the SSD is being installed for the first time, use your 2010 CD and use the Tools/Add Disk option so the SSD disk can be initialized. Look at link #3 below and review item #1 Restore to larger/smaller drive.....
If the SSD is to be the boot device, it should also be connected as the first device on the motherboard so it will be listed as disk 0.
Perhaps you might want to attach a picture of how your disks are displayed in Windows Disk Management graphical view.

No,
All Drives are installed and are WORKING fine!!!
I have 6 Sata 2 Hard Drives.
When I go into the Backup Wizard of Acronis one of the Sata Drives (not the SSD) is not seen and I can't figure out why?
Please advise.

Was the disk which is not seen used to create any of the other disks? What I am suggesting is that you may have two disks with the same disk signature?
Not too long ago, there was a similar situation. If you have two identical disk (same size and make), try disconnecting the data cable on one and then boot to see if the missing disk appears?
How is the missing disk connectedf? To the motherboard or to a PCI card or via a docking unit?

Launch Windows Disk Management, take a screenshot of it showing all drives, and post it here.
