Activation?

Thread needs solution

I have True Image installed on a computer that has no communications at all (on purpose). What is activation anyway - I have used the software, it works, why do I want to "activate" it?
On another subject - the computer I have True Image on is used as a CNC machine controller. I have noticed when the computer is up after a few minutes a little window pops up that True Image can't connect. How do I keep it from attempting to connect. If the machine were running and an interrupt of the G code came in from it trying to connect really bad and expensive things could happen.
Thanks for any help folks and I did not see my answers in some of the links off to the left of this page.

Activation is a copyright protection mechanism. ATI will continue attempting to connect and activate. There is no way to prevent that. Maybe you should consider using the Acronis recovery media to do your backups instead of using the Windows version...
