Acronis Recovery does not find any backup versions

Thread needs solution

I am evaluating Acronis True Image 2013 currently and need your kind help.

I have created a full drive backup (including ALL volumes / incremental mode / only "*.tmp" excluded) on a SMB drive. That backup was successfully finished.
Then I added a file in a folder and run the same backup again. That backup was successful, too.
Then I modified that same file in that same folde and run the same backup again. That backup was successful, too.

So there should be three backup versions now, and the log tells me exactly that, including that all three are successful.

Then I have deleted that file and wanted to see how I can get it back from acronis. The result is: I cannot!

When I use Windows Explorer's property menu of that folder, the Acronis Recovery tab says "There are no earlier versions."

So it seems I am too dumb to use Acronis to reset files to particular backup versions. :-(

Can someone give me a hint what my fault is?

To restore files or folders, you have various options:

- You can boot from the ATI bootable Rescue Media and choose a files/folders restore, selecting the files and folders you wish to restore.

- If ATI is installed, you could mount the backup and copy files/folders from it to the drive.

- If ATI is installed, you could double-click the backup to open it in Windows Explorer, then copy files/folders from it to the drive.

- Within ATI, right-click on the backup you wish to restore from and select "Recover Files".

That gives you four methods, so at least one should suit you. :)
