Synchronization Settings

Thread needs solution

Is there a way to set the Synchronization settings? For example, to exclude certain folders within a directory? Include a certain file type?

Also, I have synced 2 folders and I have no indication that it is working. The color of the tab to the left is red, so I assume that they are not synced. There is no processing update or time remaining. There are no advanced settings. Coming to Acronis after using Allwaysync for years. I think I might regret my switch (much like the last time I decided to use acronis as a all-in-one program to address multiple needs).

OK, I see the system tray notification showing update progress, but I still would like to specify folders, or the direction of the sync...

I believe the Sync is always bi-directional.

OK, that works for me most of the time, only on rare occasions do I have a need to sync in only one direction. Is there a way to exclude folders within a directory or to specify file types to exclude that I am just not seeing? I might have to buy the new version of Allwaysync after all. I was hoping Acronis could do it all for me, but I guess it is rare than any software can do that.

maybe Acronis could include these options in their next version?

Cheers

Sync is sort of an extra feature added to ATI, so it's unsurprising that dedicated sync tools would offer more options.

ATI is, at its core, a system imaging and disaster recovery tool, something that sync tools cannot do.
