Boot Media not accepting encryption keys for encrypted TIB backups files.
Hi,
I encrypt my backups archives (older versions) on a NAS which doesn't support encryption and i've had to do a restore from an archive tonight.
Once in the Acronis Boot Media I went to recovery, choose the network storage and the TIB file to recover. When asked for the password I was unable to get Acronis Boot Media to accept the encryption key.
In the end I had to recover using the GUI in Windows which accepted the encryption key.
Is there any known bug where the boot media doesn't play well with encrypted backups?

Hi Tuttle,
The ATI Boot Media is the 2014 version and the Windows GUI version is the 2014 version. The TIB file was created with ATI 2013.
I havn't tried restoring any non password protected/encrypted TIB files with the 2014 boot media however that has never been a problem in the past with previous versions.
The archive is encrypted with 128bit AES.
I'm using a Norwegian keyboard with the english boot media, however the only character which is on a different keymap is the "@" symbol - Shift 2 on the US keymap.
I couldn't change the keyboard input with the little button at the bottom right of the sceen which was strange though.
So it's possible that i wasn't entering the correct characters, but highly unlikly as i know that shift + 2 = @ on the US keymap.
Is there any way to change the keyboard layout for future reference?

I may have to stimulate my grey cells, but I think the f11.cfg file can have a keyboard mapping entry.

Hi Colin,
This is my f11.cfg:
[start]
echo Starting Acronis True Image...
initrd ramdisk.dat /s
kernel kernel.dat quiet
quiet on
mbrcrcs on
vga vesa
[continue]
sysboot /active
[bootmgr]
echo Press F11 for Acronis Startup Recovery Manager...
default continue
delay 10
bootmenu 389
Doesn't seem like an option is present there. However it seems like it might be possible to add a parameter to this file. Unfortunately I'm not sure what to add.

Neither am I :) , that's why I may need to stimulate my brain, I'm sure this came up once with either 2012 or 2013.
The 389 in the list can be changed as that points to the F11 key code. Let me think on it.
