Increase Primary C Partition

Thread needs solution

Hi

Using W7 Ultimate and ADD11HU2 (build 11.0.2343).

Legend:

Red = Primary C:
Green = Added partitions
Blue = Unallocated space

I'm attempting to increase the size of my C: drive to around 150GB.

I have read the following Acronis KB article with interest.

kb.acronis.com/content/11407

I could add all the unallocated space to my Primary C: drive. However, what I really want to do is add an additional 50GB or so to my Primary C drive, using the unallocated space, as per the picture, attached.

Does any kind soul have any suggestions, as I'm starting to get a headache.

What I would recommend is to resize/slide the three Logical partitions down 50GB and then resize C:. While the automated methods usually work they often run into snags and can cause problems. Doing the steps manually lets you verify each step as you go. So, first resize/move G: 50GB down, then F:, then E:. Apply the changes after each one.

It's recommended to make a backup of the entire drive before making partitioning changes in case anything goes wrong. If this isn't possible, at least make sure to have current backups of any important partitions/data.
