boot disk imige not mounting
I am using Home 2010 with a Asus M3N78 SE motherboard and a ST31608 12AS Sata HD with two petitions being backed up onto a ST350032AS Sata 2nd HD. Both are NTFS.
I have run the boot disk created from True Image and the image created couldn’t be mounted. I down loaded the download boot disc and exactly the same. If I create an image through Vista no problem they will mount.
On my laptop the same boot disc saving to a USB drive also fails to open when atempted to be mounted. All images are verified after creation and are said to be good.

After having a number of problems with 2009 and 2010 and posting here why does the promised support always vanish very rapidly before any solution is found? Is this the “fabled” support provided? Or is it a hint mugs who pay atre on ther own to sort out the problems created by this appalling software!

What build number of 2010 are you using? There have been several messages in the forum about mounting issues. Instead of mounting try treating the .tib file like a folder and use Windows Explorer to open it. In other words, double click on the .tib file to open it, and keep double clicking until you reach the file or folder of interest.

Thanks for reply, its 6053 but using the downloaded imige boot disc, I was trying to open via explorer, I had errer mesages and a second window open each time. UI am unable to give the errer as I recreated the back up each timee from in side windows where the back up can be opend with no problem. Its just the imiges created from the downloaded boot disc for 2010 that I am unabe to mount. They verify OK but given they can't be mounted it concerns me there may be a problem so have fallen back on the imige via windows.
I fallwed up your point there have been issues covered befor and though I had looked befor posting did find one this time. 4151: Mounting Acronis True Image Home 2010 Backup in Windows 7 or Windows Vista Fails with "Archive Open Error"
Its a bit long winded can be worked round. As I have full admin rights is as they say a "bug" that is said to be fixed at some time (orn given other posts on bugs, later version of the program!
