Acronis 2014 Nothing Functions at all

Thread needs solution

I am using Acronis True Image 2014 Premium on a Windows 7 machine. The program starts with the "Get Started Screen." I can not access anything from there, all buttons and tabs are frozen. I have completely removed the program and reinstalled several times and still the same thing happens. I have several backups onto a stand alone synergy backup drive now using the incremental approach using earlier versions of Acronis True Image. Any sugestions would be of great help.

My suggestion is to use the 2014 Cleanup utility. Link below inside signature.
Follow the instructions in the KB article.

The cleanup utiliity will uninstall all Acrnis products--if anything else of Acronis is installed.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, after following the instructions and re-installing I still have the same issue. I also, stopped the antivirus and firewall while installing and tried running Acronis with firewall and antivirus off. Everything appears frozen. occasionally a link will work for a moment than it freezes again. I think I will need to look for another answer to my back up situation, unless someone has a good solution. Not sure what else to try.

Wayne, could you please check Windows Event Logs, are there any related messages? 

If would be also helpful if you post here the screenshot, that illustrates the issue.

And also please clarify when the issue occurred for the first time. Was it connected to any system updates or any other major changes?

Hi Anna,
The issue seems to have started after upgrading to 2014 premium from 2013. I can't find anything in the windows events logs. The program starts and goes to the welcome screen, but after that everything is locked up. None of the tabs or buttons function at all.
I have done clean installs numerous times and even switched firewalls stopped antivirus and such. I'm at a loss. I really need to do a backup and will search for an alternate program if I can't get this to function.

sorry for the delayed answer.

If the program really freezes there might be some compatibility issues.

Acronis True Image stopped working right after upgrade or had it worked at first and then blocked?
