Trouble creating disk backup

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I'm getting an error message (screenshot attached on this post) whenever acronis tries to run my backup.

I've set a daily incremental backup with consolidating settings on.

I read online that this error could mean that my network drive is not accesible or that the backup file is corrupt.

I tried to browse to my network drive after i got this error and I had no problem browsing it through the windows explorer.

Do you guys have any idea why I'm getting this error or if there is a way to fix it (besides starting with a new full backup)?

I appreciate your help!

Does slice 11 still exist or was it part of a consolidation?

Try a separate validation of the backup and validation indicates errors, keep clicking thru the errors until you get a maybe get the file back in sync. My preference is NOT to use consolidation but to use automatic cleanup so the old files are deleted rather than merged i nto the other files. Refer link 2 below and illustration 11-Inc.

Slice 11 still exists. Everything seems to be fine. I will try a separate validation like you suggested to see if that gets it working.
If that doesn't work then I'm guessing the only solution is to start a new full backup right?

One other thing, where do you setup the automatic cleanup?

Thanks so much for your help!

Autocleanup is part of the backup scheme setting.
Click link 2 below and look at illustration 11-Inc except change the 6 and 4 exaamples to fit your own needs.
Do read the text comments surrounding the 11-Inc picture.
