Incremental backup for workstation with Symantec Drive Encryption.

Thread needs solution

We are going to use ABR workstation Advance 11.5 to backup workstations with Symantec Drive Encryption.

We would like to know if we could perform incremental or differential backups ( file level backup or volume backup )

Hello Udi,

thank you for your posting.

We haven't any reported compatibility issues with Symantec Drive Encryption. However, I recommend you download a trial version first and check, how it works on your particular system.

Here you can find general information about Compatibility of Acronis Backup Software with Encryption Software.

Thank you.

Hi,

The compatibility list appears to be from 2006. Are there any newer documents regarding Drive Encryption and True Image?

I'd like to be able to do regular backups AND clone my drive prior to trips (using TI 2013). Is there an encryption program that allows Acronis to do both?

PeteMC,

the article was updated February 19, 2013; so it is not that old.

Unfortunately there is no answer to your question, since we don't run special compatibility tests with all encryption software.

However, you can always create a raw (sector-by-sector) backup of an encrypted partition using Acronis Boo

Thank you.
