Creating Bootable Media TI2010

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I am new here. I am using Acronis TI Home 2010 for quite a while. However I don't created Bootable Media for recovery. I know, not smart...... oops!

I am using NAS for my Backups but when my computer crashes I have a problem because I can't connect to the NAS from that specific PC.

I have 4 PC's, do I have to create 4 times Bootable Media for each PC? I don't think so but please tell me.

I only have 1 PC with the possibility to burn and create bootable Media. When one Bootable Media for all 4 PC's is enough I am done and that's fine but if not, how do I create for each PC Bootable Media???

I've tried to do it with creating an ISO file but these file is not bootable, very confusing.

When I have to create for each PC Bootable Media, please tell me what to do because I have only 1 PC with burning feature. I don't have any experience with ISO files and it's important that they are bootable but I hope one Bootable Media for all my 4 PC's is enough.

Thanks for helping me!

The TI recovery CD is NOT unique to each computer. One CD will work on them all. Note 2010 does not support Win 8.

Return to your Acronis personal acccount and download the "2010 bootable media ISO file.
If using Windows 7, After downloading, RIGHT click on the iso file and choose the " Open with Windows Disk burner".
If using XP or XP Pro, you will probably need to use a free burners such as IMGBURN to burn the disk as an image.

During the boot process of the CD, be present and you have just a few seconds to on its main menu to select TrueImage as the boot item otherwise, it will boot back into Windows before you get a chance to make the selection of TrueImage.

The TI Recovery CD is the preferred method of restoring a backup or performing a clone.
The installed version of TrueImage also offers the option to create a bootable flash drive rather than a bootable CD.
The blank flash drive must be inserted before selecting the create bootable media option.

Hi Grover, thanks for helping me and I succeed but not as you asked me to do. It's not clear to me which are the advantages of making an bootable ISO (or download) rather than a "normal" bootable CD or DVD. It's confusing me and really want to know this. Because I have several options to create a bootable disk.

I've tried before making an ISO file in the software for booting but it didn't boot...... So finally I created a "normal" recovery DVD in my computer with a burning possibility.

It's clear to me that I can use 1 recovery CD for all my 4 PC's. And it worked fine, I checked and tested. Great!

Maybe I am thinking too difficult, I know, but I appreciate if you can explain to me the differences between a bootable ISO which I can download and the one I created myself as a "normal" bootable recovery DISK.

Thanks!

There is no difference between the CD made by the user from the installed version versus the iso file downloaded from your account. There both alike. Either will suffice.
