True Image 2010 build 6053 don't start the GUI under Windows 7
Hi,
I have installed True image 2010 build 6053 under windows 7.
I tried to open it, clicking on the shortcut.
The first time, the window of True Image appeare normally.
But if I close it and then I try to start again True Image, nothing happens.
I saw that there are many process TrueImage.exe active. If I close every of these and then I try again, the window of True Image appears again.
Someone knows the solution of this problem? Or has the same Problem?

For that build, there has been some talk about the need to update the SnapAPI file.

Hi Alessandro. Just downloaded version 6053 and I have exactly the same problem that you are describing (I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit). Does anybody have a hint or a solution for this problem? Thanks.

Hi DwnNDrty,
what do you mean about "update SnapAPI"? I've installed the last release of True Image 2010...
I asked to Acronis, a kind of solution. I was tring their software, but I think it's not a good purchase.
Bye

Hello all,
Let me assist you with this situation.
As far as I understand, the cause of the issue is trueimage.exe process, which does not end when you close the product. That's why it does not start later. The product is just not able to create second trueimage.exe because of the first one (probably it's related to Windows 7 restrictions, since in XP systems it creates many trueimage.exe instances).
As soon as I noticed this thread, I have forwarded a request to our QA Team. They have tried to reproduce it, and were not able to do so. However, it appears to be a common issue and we found that this hanging process constantly writes something to archives.xml file (it's responsible for archives database in the product). We have escalated this issue to our Development Team for deeper investigation. I just wanted to update you about current state of the issue.
I will let you know as soon as we receive any news regarding this. Your patience and cooperation is really appreciated.
Best regards,

This is just maybe a stupid thing to stick in here but are you running as admin? I have a win7 computer that if I try to run certain thing I get nothing, but if I log out and switch to the Admin account, clicking on that icon gets the program going. I have two win7 machines, one acts as above, the other will ask for the admin password to run as admin, the other just does nothing. This is just an observation and not intended as your fix - but just a thought.

Hi
Acronis Customer Support are working to fix this issue. I tried a beta version that works. They are testing this new version.
