Nonstop Backup fails stops never completes.
Hi All,
I have a licensed version of True Image 2014, I'm trying to backup my DATA drive where I store 700gb of Pictures, Documents, Videos etc using the Nonstop Backup method.
I select everything on D: backup starts and nearly completes then stops, I restart but then stops near enough straight away.
I am using Windows 8.1 Pro.
I've attached backup logs.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

Also, if you have irreplaceable content on D:\ make sure you have a simple copy of the content as a redundant backup. NSB is great for backing up changing files, but it is bad to backup files in compressed file format that don't change much if at all (videos, photos, movies). Use sync software to do that.
The reason why I assumed NSB did not complete was there was no option to restore and there was not a green tick next to the NSB job?
I am now using windows File History Backup on my DATA files now and disk backup for my ssd system drive.
Thanks

This is a good strategy. Then use a regular disk and partition backup for your SSD. NSB is OK, but is not as flexible as a disk and partition backup.

Hey Nick. I'm having the same issue and have been round and round with tech support. They either don't understand or can't figure out what the deal is. I have 2 HP laptops and cannot get the Nonstop to work. Worked just fine in 2013. I posted in another thread about the issue and apparently not a widespread issue with 2014, because I'm just seeing a couple of threads here and there and tech support must be working on something else, because I'm getting little feedback from them other than the normal, try deleting the nonstop and running it again, try a reinstall of 2014, use the latest build, backup to another device, really basic stuff I've already been through before I even contacted them regarding the issue.
If I ever find out what it is, I'll post, but I'm coming on my 30 days on Friday. I'm likely to return for now, because 2013 worked for what I needed except a few issues with cloning and getting an HP laptop to work after installing new a new drive, all of which I've figured out and I'll bet the 2013 works just as fine.
Say, you don't happen to have an HP laptop you're having this nonstop issue on do you?

Steve,
No I don't have a HP laptop, I've never tried 2013 version, and have re done nonstop and reinstalled software.
I'll keep an eye out for a solution.
Cheers
Nick
