Is it possible to lost an entire folder upon restore from a .tib acronis 8 image restored with acronis 2010?
Hello
I made several images fo my notebook disk in past year and I have also a recent .tib file that theoretically reflect the whole C: disk of my notebook
Past days my notebook was stolen, I purchased a new one with Windows 7 and I tried to inflate my .tib file to an external usb disk (seen as F:) , just to get the whole content of the original C disk
The restore process was succesful but incredible I cannot recover any data related to my emails. I use Mozilla Thunderbird.
When I go to folder F:\document and settings\myusername i cannot locate and see the original application data folder
In spite of I made a complete image of my disk it seems that folder dissapeared. I was browsing older .tib files and all are in the same status.
Is it possible? or may be that folder is hidden?
the critical item is to recover all of my emails but by now it seems missed
I dont know where the problem comes from
My doubt is if some setting disabled the inclusion of the app data folder
thanks in advance
Mauricio

Hello Mark,
I found the problem: the folder Application data was hidden duw to the default configuration of windows 7- I set to show all files (hidden also) and now I found the valuable email files
