Just installed True Image Home 2010 on Win7

Thread needs solution

Purchased the CD in box. There was no user guide with the CD, and a huge amount of user guide choices online.

I do not need to backup my computer drive, which is a small drive. I am an illustrator and have hundreds of gigs of data stored on terrabyte hard drives. What I need to do is back up separate directories and have the back up program just back up files that have been changed on my computer. Once backed up on two hard drives, one on site and one off site, I remove many of the files that have been backed up...

Which guide should I be looking at online?

I'm a bit nervous, because when I start the program in Win7 (having downloaded the Win7 Acronis updates) there is a message that asks me if it is OK to change info on my hard drive, or something like that. So far I've replied with no. I have a feeling it is going to try and back up my entire drive, but without a guide I have no real idea what it's going to do... Any help appreciated...

Dear Philip!

Thank you for sharing your concerns with us.

Unfortunately it is difficult to say why exactly Win7 pops you up this message, most likely it happens due to we are assigning low-level drivers to the hard drive. It doesn't affect productivity or data on the drive; it is just required for creating the backup. I could provide you with more information if you could kindly specify me the exact message you are receiving.

Regarding the backup of the data you would like to perform: you can surely do a file level backup instead of the system backup, just choose the option "My Data" as shown on the screenshot attached and specify the folders you need to be backed up.

I would advise you to take a look at this User's Guide - it is related to the product you own and contains the detailed information regarding all the functions available.

Let me know in case something seems confusing, I will be glad to help you!

Thank you.
