Which Windows AIK or WINPE to use?

Thread needs solution

Hello all,
Using the latest build of B&R which is the best Windows AIK to use to make an Acronis WinPE Recovery CD?

Is one better than the other?

There is
Windows Automated Installation Kit (AIK) (2.0 I believe)
Automated Installation Kit (AIK) for Windows Vista SP1 and Windows Server 2008 (2.1 I believe)
and now
The Windows Automated Installation Kit (AIK) for Windows 7

I sometimes have Windows XP machines, Vista and now Windows 7 machines to fix - 32 and 64 bit.

I am just starting to explore this since I never did it before. I tried searching here but could not get answers I need, so if you have a good link...just post it and save yourself some typing!!!

I have read how to build it, but mainly I just don't know which one to use OR should I use all of them because I might need the different types at some point?

Thanks for helping me understand this new topic.

There is no AIK for XP. There you had to use some non M$ software called BartPE to create a PE-like environment. Acronis offered a plugin for this.

There is an AIK that works fine for XP. See this forum: http://forum.acronis.com/forum/9449

Even though all refererences for XP show SP2, it works fine with SP3.
