Windows 8.1 Backup
Anyone using 2014 as a WINDOWS 8.1 OS only backup? My laptop came preloaded with 8.1 and the only way to get a restore OS is to purchase 8.1 from Microsoft. Not really interested in spending the $$ with Microsoft.

I do use 2014 to backup my SSD where I have 8.1 Pro installed on a GPT disk (but I don't use UEFI right now). With the pro version you can use the Windows backup function to create system images. Otherwise, you have to use some imaging backup software and Acronis True Image is your best choice. Like any other backup software though, you have to try it on your computer. In particular, produce a recovery CD, use it to boot your computer on it and recover a couple of files from your backup. Make sure you include all the partitions on your backup.

Hi Expert,
I have installed Acronis { Acronis Backup Advanced ( Version 11.5 Update 5) Acronis Backup Management Console ( Build 11.5.38929 ) } on Windows 8.1 OS. additionally i have installed the below mentioned components for backup and recovery. Please find the components details below.
1. Acronis Backup 11.5 Agent Core
2. Acronis Backup 11.5 Agent for Windows
3. Acronis Backup 11.5 Management Console
4. Acronis License Server
After successfully installing all the above mentioned components i try to add this Windows 8.1 machine into AMS.
While adding a machine into AMS the management server is able to detect the agent and displays the message as " READY TO ADD".
But after that i am getting below error.
Module: mms_vs_38929
Message: User 'user1@WINDOWS8' does not have enough privileges to establish a trust relationship. The machine must be a domain member or User Account Control (UAC) must be disabled on the machine.
Note: The in the Windows 8.1 UAC has been set to never notify.
Kindly provide your suggestion .
Thanks
