Issue restoring to NAS device
I am having some issues with restoring files to an alternate location.
I did a full drive backup and stored it on my new Drobo 5N. When I tried to restore files in a directory from this backup to my Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ it threw an error for every file. It did this regardless of the setting for recovering the full path.
Thinking it might have been because it was a drive backup, I did a file/folder backup and tried to restore from that backup and had the same issues.
For what seems like every file I want to restore it pops up an error message that I have to respond to before it will continue. If I retry I get same error, if I ignore the restore continues. The strangest thing
is that after it finishes, every file that I actually tried to restore to the NAS was actually restored there.
The file names it complains about seem to be some sort of temp file names generated by Acronis? For example POEG7SQ0~Digh Porch.jpg~
If I do the restore to any SATA drive internal or external I do not get any errors.
Here is an example error from the log:
Failed to recover file or folder 'Digh Porch.jpg'.
Failed to restore the file (folder). (0x4001A)
Path = "\\?\UNC\Woodynas\asustrash\Drive(T)\tphdigh\POEG7SQ0~Digh Porch.jpg~",

Any advice would be appreciated. Seems to be directly related to trying to restore to an NAS device (either one of them Drobo 5N or Netgear).
The odd thing is that I have the share on the NAS mapped as drive Q but the software is using a UNC path

Does the error subsist if you mount the folder you restore to?

Not sure what you mean by mounting the folder? It is mapped as a drive letter, but Acronis is using the UNC path according to the error log.
How would I mount a folder on a share on a Netgear ReadyNAS NV+ in Windows 8.1 Pro?

I meant mapped as a drive letter. Sometimes ATI has trouble with mapped drives and sometimes it is better to restore directly to the network share. In your case, I am not sure the configuration you are in. To restore files, you can also mount the image to a windows drive, then copy out of it. You can also double click on the archive and copy/paste out of it.
Since you are restoring to a NAS share, you might be facing some obscure Windows SMB networking access rights and/or support issues from Acronis.
If you try to mount the image and then copy out of it, you can use Windows Explorer to do that, and that would rule out Acronis driver issues. If you can copy and past after double clicking on the image, you will be using another set of Acronis drivers. If the problem subsists then, you can deduct your might some issue with the way the Acronis application uses the networking... etc.
