High CPU only when True Image app running

Thread needs solution

Whenever I run the True Image 2013 application, my dual-core CPU takes 50-100% CPU all from the TrueImage.exe process. As soon as I exit the True Image program, the CPU drops to normal levels after about 10 seconds. TrueImageMonitor.exe continues to run and exhibits no excessive CPU.

This happens every time, and the CPU spikes as soon as True Image is loaded. I'm not clicking anywhere in the interface, and I have only one backup job defined. I have not changed any program defaults since I installed 2 weeks ago.

Rich,

Did you have a previous build of TI on your system?

Have you tried running a repair install of 2013?

Has this issue with high CPU got a solution?

I have seen several unanswered complaints but no resolution.

What does TrueImage 2014 do when no backup or any other activity has beeen initiated??
