True Image will not run from boot dvd

Thread needs solution

Hi can I ask a little advice please
I have a Dell Vostro 3750 laptop running Windows 7 Professional 74 bit edition, and I am trying to use True Image 2013 or 2014 I have both versions to make a backup.
The problem I have is when I try to boot from the True Image boot dvd.
The computer boot into the Acronis software and I can select from three options, 1 to start Acronis 2 a System Report and 3 Start windows.
I select 1 to start the True Image program then then I get a blue screen with the patents numbers on but it just hangs on that page
Can anyone help please?

You might want to run an MD5 checksum on the DVD for errors. See link below

Sorry but I am not able to see a link to a MD5 checksum

But the same boot dvd works on my desktop pc with no problems

Edward,

Sorry, I see that the link I thought I provided did not come through. If you would like to review it you can find it in your Acronis account documents and downloads. It probably doesn't apply here as it sounds like you can run the DVD on your desktop but not your laptop. By that I mean the DVD is fully functional when run on your desktop but will not run on your laptop. Is that correct?

Your problem might be a memory limitation or memory related, I do not know what the minimum system requirements are for the bootable media but it could be that you do not have enough physical memory (probably not likely) or there is a problem with what physical memory you do have. There are free software apps out there that will check memory for problems, might be a good idea to download one and see if your installed memory checks out.

Try the other version CD. If results same, try contacting support live chat and see if they will send you a diff version boot file for 2014.

HI Guys just to let you know I have 8 meg of memory on my laptop, and I have tried two different versions of the boot dvd. one made with the program and one as a direct download.

I am with Grover on this.
