Delay Start of Backup

Thread needs solution

If I am away from the office for a day or a week or more, I find it annoying that as soon as I start the computer, the backup starts-if the computer was off at the schedule time. I need to get stuff done, as I have been away. I realize I can stop the backup, and start it later, but it seems that there is still something going on until I restart my computer(twice). Last time I stopped the Acronis backup, but the windows backup was still going.

I was told that now I no longer had a Windows backup going since I was using Acronis, but I see in addition to the .tib files I am still seeing activity in the Windows Image Backup file. Whats with that? Is that good? Should I fix it?
Thank you.

In the UI of ATI, click on the upper right corner to find the ATI integration with Windows. Disable the integration with the control panel. Then restart the computer. You should have access to the Windows backup settings again. Another way is to launch the Windows Task Scheduler and look for the Windows backup task then delete it.

Thanks, I see two things. "Acronis Recovery tab in the properties window" and "shortcuts menu commands". Are you saying that by unchecking this, there will be no Windows backup? I really do not understand how the two integrate, but dont think this will stop the integration, just by unchecking.
Why does the program do the Windows backup to? What the benefit?
I want to have the acronis for recovery and do it in the shortest time possible, as I do it during the day. I do this weekly, and backup files using another program daily. Thank you.

You are right, I am mistaken. This new version doesn't have the backup control panel integration any longer, (at least not on Windows 8, not sure about Windows 7).

OK, I take it back. Wrong place to look.

To disable the windows backup, go to the windows task scheduler. Open Microsoft, Windows, WindowsBackup. Do you see an active task there?

Yes, it was set for the same time as Acronis. I stopped the windows backup.
I assume the windows backup has different info from acronis. Windows does not make the complete copy acronis does.
There is still no way to have the program NOT start right away when I turn on my computer. There is no way to say, that if it missed a Thursday, do it on the next Thursday? Thank you.
