Conundrum--errors vs + result?
2013
To best explain the condition I really need to post the log of the particular backup operation of a day and time. However, when I have the log view open (option on bar below backup job) you cannot select the text. Sending the log to a file results in the entire huge log.
Is there a way to get at just the text of the particular backup for the particular date/time for posting?

The problem didn't appear until after I did an in place Win7 upgrade on my Win7 machine to correct OS problems.
After which I had to re-establish certain sharing rights on my wife's machine (the one to which my Acronis targets images).
I continually receive errors during my imaging process. The error always has to do with user interaction required and something about 'can't open file'.
What is utterly weird about this is the following:
When I've forced the image to run manually so that I was here to see the message (vs. my email) there is but ~1 minute remaining on the process.
After the image runs Acronis indicates that the backup is valid.
If you look at the log, it says the image was successful.
I'm attaching the log (I presume it's the correct one--it contains what appears to be tons of nonsense in addition to text referring to my prior comments) for you to see the salient lines.

Odd--I don't see my attached file.
I browsed, opened, attached the file. There were 2 check boxes below the attachment--only 1 was checked so absent direction I checked the other too. Plus there was a dropdown box defaulted at 0 with no explanation. I clicked--the options were 0, 1, -1. I set it to 1.

rename the tile and upload the file again. Don't check or uncheck anything but you will have to add some comments into the posting in order for the upload to be posted.
As to your TI problem, try using the Move option and move the Nas backup into a different folder name. That will either help or make matters worse.

I'll pass on moving the folder since I get this identical problem on her second drive (E) and her external drive (D).
I'm fairly certain that I'm running into a similar problem with my automated Second Copy nightly file backups to her machine. Only on a few jobs. The MO is similar. I get an access denied error in the log yet the file is date stamped correctly. I tried removing verify thinking that the file access had to do with opening the file after writing to verify but that didn't resolve the problem.

Consider trying a new test task but change the path to an IP Address. Acronis can be very fussy.
Examine the paths below derived from your log posting.
Note that the "Mark Full" has the drive letter E as part of the path and the "MyPartitons" backup does not have the E.
Could there be an error here?
\\Connie-think\e\Acronis\Mark\Daily Full_New\(1)Disk_Mode_Single_Chain_(4+1)_Mark_Full_D_full_b11_s1_v1.tib
\\Connie-think\Acronis_D\Mark_D\Mark Passport Full\My_partitions_full_b95_s1_v1.tib
One example I use
\\192.168.1,1\USB_Storage\Asus-2013-5560\Full with excl-_full_b1_s1_v1.tib
The "Asus-2013-5560" in a root drive folder.
In many of the problem postings about NAS, quite often a change of how the path is listed has cured some of the issues.

Questions:
1. Do you manually add the IP address to the path generated by Acronis?
2. Your IP address has a ','--IP addresses only have '.'?
3. Since the logs all say all the backup jobs in question are 'successful', can I believe that the backup is good and these errors that are causing me grief are incorrect and cosmetic?

Mark,
This link may help.

On item 3, only after a separatevalidation would I assume as such as you are having connection problems with your storage dis whe tried via Acronis.
On item 2. Thanks. My typo.
On item 1. Frankly, I do not know for sure as I do not have a NAS. I do have usb disk connected direct to my router.
The answer may be in first attachment but is a guess. This part of new task creation scene.

Thanks for the screen shots--I'm saving them for later since I'm now coming at this problem from a different direction based upon yesterday. +, what's happening in Acronis and Second Copy makes no sense, given that before the in place OS upgrade these problems were nonexistent.
Yesterday I intended to suspend 2 of the 3 backup jobs so I could concentrate on 1 at a time. When I clicked on 'do not schedule' TIH ignored the request--for both jobs after several attempts. So then I changed the schedule to 1x/month. However despite that the backups still ran. Clearly the application is not doing well.
I'm now of the mind that either of 2 different approaches need to be taken. Either I again do an in place OS upgrade (thinking that what messed up the 2 programs might 'un mess them up') or uninstall Acronis, delete the images, rebuild the backup jobs and start fresh. I'll likely do the first and if that doesn't work, do the second.
I'll let you know what happens--

perhaps these can help with the scheduling issue.

Thanks for tolerating the dumb scheduling problem. I was doing as you described but was so annoyed my mind was not acknowledging 'turn on'!
I had another idea (before moving to more drastic action). I'm wondering about running a verify against one of the problematic backups to determine if the log representation of 'successful' is true or false. The result of the verify would be a Pass, Fail or the same condition as I currently see.
Except I cannot find the separate verify command (outside of a backup's options) so I can run verify against an existing file?

I may have figured out what's happening--at least in part.
I checked the conditions under which Acronis sends an email during backup. I had checked something like if intervention is required. I unchecked the option and left only failure as a reason to notify.
No more emails. Although one can say ignorance is bliss, I do not think that I had previously checked off the intervention box and that the 'problem' could have been ongoing and something screwy with either my wife's machine or mine and I just never knew about it.
I tested a random archive for an actual restore vs. verify and the backup worked fine--so that's that!
Thanks,
Mark
