Acronis True Image 11 doesn't recognize my SATA drives

Thread needs solution

I have a new computer running XP SP3 ... and Acronis True Image 11 Réf. 1093
Acronis® True Image Home® version 11.0 (build 8.108)

I did my backup on my external USB Drive without any problems.
Recently I had a restore made but it stopped after the 1st reboot.
Acronis only sees my USB Drives as the C and D Drive but doesn't my Physical PC SATA Drives !
It says it doesn't sees any drives.... ??

What is the solution in order that Acronis True Image 11 recognizes my SATA Drives ?

I also tried booting from Acronis or from a booting Windows CD without any results...

Please help me because I am fully blocked.

Thanks in Advance

SB

Hello Stephane,

Thank you for posting your question, I will be happy to help.

Acronis True Image 11 Home is an outdated version, we do not develop it any more. That's why we are unable to fix the issue you are experiencing under Windows. We can fix it for Acronis Bootable Rescue Media. I am sending an ISOLINUX file to you via PMs, this version is the latest one for Acronis True Image 11 Home. You can learn more on how to burn an ISO file to a CD disk in this article. Boot the system under the new CD and check the  functionality of Acronis software.

If this doesn't help, I can propose you to download the trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2010 available here. Please install the program and create Acronis True Image Home 2010 Rescue Media and see if the issue remains. The archives created by  Acronis True Image 11 Home are compatible with Acronis True Image Home 2010.

If this resolves the issue, please update the license to Acronis True Image Home 2010. You can upgrade the license here

Please let us know the results. Please let me know if the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question.

Thank you.

I have this issue with TI 11 Home build 8101 also.

I tried extracting the SATA drive and using a SATA/USB converter, which led to a 250GB image creation taking 12-17 hours; I also created TI 11 boot media with the Safe Mode plugin and was able to see the (reinstalled) SATA drive, but was unable to see the external USB drive I was planning to create the image on - kind of a Catch-22.

Could I get a link to the ISOLINUX file also? I have another (identical) machine to back up and am hoping it won't take 17 hours this time.

Hello Gregory,

I have sent the appropriate ISOLINUX file to you via PMs. Please let us know the results.

Please do not hesitate to ask additional questions if the provided information is not clear or you need a further assistance.

Thank you.

Oleg - it worked perfectly. Both the external USB and internal SATA drive were visible and I could direct the image of one to the other.

Please tell your chat support people that you have these ISOs available - the one I spoke to wouldn't admit that any such thing existed, much less was available. It was like talking to a stone wall with the words "That is not in our resources" carved on it.

Thanks so much!

I have the same issue with True Image 10 boot disk not recognizing my sata drive. It can see my external USB just fine. I can see all drives with True Image running from within windows.
Could you send me the iso file as well, please?

Oleg, I have the same problem that True Image Home does not see my internal hard drive. Please send me the ISOLINUX file too.

Thanks a lot

Hello all,

Thank you for posting, I will be happy to help. Please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

Since several of our customers have requested previously the appropriate files via Private Messages, to avoid the duplicating I suggest you to send me a Private Message if you still need the ISO file. Please make sure that the license is registered under your account or let me know the serial number for the product by the PM.
We are looking forward to hearing back from you at your earliest convenience. If the provided information is not clear or if you have any other question do not hesitate to post them and we will be glad to answer.
Thank you.

Hi, I have a registered copy of True Image Home Ver 11 and found it works with a new SATA HD under the Windows XP environment for backups but now when using the boot recovery disk it reports no disk found. Would you send me a link to the ISO boot file so I can recover the stored images on the SATA HD please. Cheers, Bryan

Greetings,
I too have a registered copy of True Image Home Ver. 11 and am having problems with cloning or restoring files to my SATA drives. I would like to request a link to the ISO boot file.

ok this is weird, i have spent so much time on this its ridicules
only to find out when i pop in my old ATIH v10 rescue media (the one created by default),
i am able to run ATIH10 off the rescue CD and restore my older backups, but not my later ones created with ATIH11 while in session
when loaded with ATIH11 rescue media I'm unable to restore since the system cannot find any drives
same happens when i try and restore from within the OS and allow the reboot, the process fail and system reboots
if i downgrade to ATIH10 everything is working from the rescue CD and from within the OS
what is going on here, can some one please help
my head is about to explode
two days got burned over this bull
i am sorry to say guys, Ive been using this software since it came out in the early 90's (most u guys prob too young to read back then)
i also sided with you guys in the big Ghost war and entered you into many companies i worked for, yes i'm old; sow me!
never the less, you guys seem to be going in the wrong direction IMO
the value of the program like many had been lost to over hype of the more bytes the better (Symantec... cough...cough)
while the quality and uniqueness of your technology been lost, its time for a new solid backup soft
this isn't working these days

Hello all!

First of all thank you for your kind comments and many thanks to GroverH for the link!

We really appreciate you found time to contact us in order to solve the issue! And I'm glad to inform you that you can download the solution directly from your account: we have uploaded the latest bootable media in *.iso format to the website.

Please burn the *.iso onto the CD and try recovering from it - it should resolve the issue.

EN, I regret to inform you that unfortunately there is no opportunity to recover the images of version 11 by means version 10: the backups of the newer versions are not supported by the previous ones.

Please kindly note that we have one main thread regarding this issue, so I would suggest you to refer to it in case of any further inconveniences.

Thank you!
