Snap Deploy 3 freezes during image creation

I am running Windows XP SP3 on an HP DC7100 machine. When I attempt to create a master image the software freezes in the middle of the creation process, the display goes haywire, and the system no longer responds to input. I am trying to perform an offline image creation using the Master Image Creator tool loaded from the ISO boot disc. I have also tried booting from the PXE server with the same problem. I have attempted to store the image to external USB hard drive, internal hard drive, and CD. It almost appears to be a video driver problem, but that doesn't explain why the problem occurs in the middle of the image creation process. Any help would be appreciated.
