True Image 11 Backup Layout

Thread needs solution

[I have searched my user manual and cannot find the answer to my query. All help appreciated.]
I use Acronis with True Image Home 11. I backup weekly, and accumulate a collection of files which are named MyBackup(n).tib, MyBackup(n)2.tib, etc. Eventually, (n) shifts to (n+1) and the cycle begins again.
The first backup in the cycle is quite large, the incrementals that follow are much smaller. When a new cycle begins, say (n+1).tib, I have been deleting the collection of previous files, viz., (n).tib, (n)2.tib, etc. I do this in order to keep my backup disk from getting full.
MY QUESTION: Is this procedure safe? Is (n+1) completely independent of (n) and previous versions?
Thanks for your help.

It is important that the "chain" (you call it a cycle) be preserved if you need to restore parts of the chain.
You can delete the small files of each cycle and keep the first or full backup;
or you can deleted all parts of the cycle. (chain).

If you have a questiion whether the remainder is good, validate one or more of the "cycles" by selecting the most recent backup file in any specific cycle and that will validate all fies within the "cycle" (chain).
