Delay + crashing Windows Explorer when digging into Acronis backup folders. Via Acronis the same + NOT RESPONDING application
I have a real problem.
I am running Windows 8.1 and Acronis True Image 2014 build 6673. I have one differential backup schedule active.
I have about 30-110 seconds delay in Windows Explorer before I get the details of the selected folder and before I can continue. Each new access to a backup-(sub)folder has again a same delay and locked File Explorer every time I access this drive and every time again when walking through each folder for the first time. Closing and opening Windows Explorer and searching through the backup folders give the same 1st-time delay. There is during this lockup no interaction with the backup drive, this means to me there is likely a (Acronis!) background process causing this delay. One time Window Explorer crashed already.
The same delay occurs when discovering recovery files via Acronis True Image. Via gear button – Recover files – Select a disk (e.g. D) – click “View versions”. I get PLEASE WAIT (for 2 minutes!). Then a new Window appears (in the background!) where a file version can be selected. When selecting one and click “Open” Acronis gives -NOT RESPONDING-”, after about (again some) 2 minutes! a Windows Explorer window opens with the file structure of drive D.
An "interesting process" that is active (now and then) during this locked time window is Com-Surrogate [see at http://blogs.msdn.com/b/oldnewthing/archive/2009/02/12/9413816.aspx].
The long delays makes it very frustrating and unworkable, investigating the backup folders and -files.
I did not have these strange phenomena’s before starting, installing and using Acronis True Image in December 2013.
Is this a (known) effect caused by Acronis True Image 2014 or is this a PC/Windows8.1 problem?
Please help me.

Today I uninstalled McAfee internet security completely and disabled Windows Firewall and Defender, ran CCleaner to remove and clean the pc and reboot. This however did not change or improve anything. I still have 2 to 4 minutes delay/lockup (repeatably) each time I explore any backup file via Acronis or Windows Explorer.
Is there anyone that has an idea about this problem? This makes working with Acronis fast impossible and unpleasant.
