TI 2010 - recovery media - SD card
Hi,
I want to backup and restore to a micro SD card in my netbook's sd card slot.
Unfortunately, when I boot with recovery media, it does not see the micro SD card as source for storage.
However, the sd card runs well under Windows.
I believe this is a missing driver issue on the Acronis bootable media.
How can I solve this ?
thx.

Greetings,
The drivers for the SD card reader are most certainly not standard. Windows can correctly identify and control the card reader because it has the needed drivers. These drivers are not part of the boot media, which does provide basic detection and support of many storage controllers, USB and ethernet devices (example). Its not possible for the media to support every type of hardware available.
You will need to build a WinPE boot disk that includes the drivers for this device in order for Acronis to correctly identify and use this reader outside of windows. This is your best chance of gaining support for the reader as a storage device.

Thanks. Can you guide me for creating that WinPE boot disk ?
