Acronis Snap Deploy Halts At 7%

Thread needs solution

Hi All,

I have just downloaded the trial version of the Acronis Snap Deploy software to test in the lab before purchasing and am having a problem deploying an image (from a network share) to a pc on the same LAN. The pc shows up in the management console and I can start the deploying process. However the process seems to halt at 7% Total. Their seems to be a connection just no transfer?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I am using build 3292. All servers are running on another machine which I can connect to successfully.

Cheers.

I've had this same issue. I have a hub set up at my cube so i'm able to work on multiple machines where I sit. My Snap Deploy server is in the

communications room and I also have a switch set up and my workbench for imaging as well. The first time I had the issue was while I was trying to deploy to five machines at the workbench. I had one in particular that wouldn't go past 7%. I tried deploying to it multiple times and it would always freeze. I tried a different cable first, and that didn't work. I ended up letting it do it's thing over a weekend and on Monday morning it was up to about 30%-40%.

I ended up plugging it into a different switch port and the deployment finished in a timely manner.

Hello Kris and Donald,

Let me assist you to resolve the situation.

This issue can be caused by several factors:

1. Master Image malfunction

2. Network connection (it was correctly addressed by Donald)

3. Multicast issue

Please check the recommendations below:

First of all, please Validate your master image (this can be done from Management Console connected to Management Agent), it will help us to exclude first cause from the list. After that, please try to plug network cable to different switch and check your network settings, per Donald's suggestion.

After that, please recreate the deployment template and set Unicast mode, it will set the information transfer to each machine one-by-one.

Please let me know the results! Additionally to this, you are welcome to ask me any other questions concerning Acronis, and I will assist you further.

Best regards,
