Bootable Media Not Booting

Thread needs solution

Windows 8 machine
Just upgraded to True Image 2014

Created bootable media USB
Changes bios to boot from USB
Does not boot - black screen

I've used True Image 2013 on Win7 and it would not work on Win8 from the boot. So I thought I would upgrade, even though it happens before the operating system technically loads.

Same exact issue as 2013 with Win8.

Will not boot. Just freezes on black screen.

Please advise.

It sounds like you have some hardware that is not compatible with the Linux kernel which runs the bootable media disk.

You should try creating a WinPE disk with the media add on of TI presuming you purchased the Premium version of TI and attempt to boot from that. Should work.

First I would try making a recovery CD and see if it can boot. If it can boot, you know the Linux kernel does support your hardware. Booting new Windows 8 UEFI bios computers from USB has become somewhat troublesome.
