Full back up seems larger than from 2012 version
C drive is an 120GB SSD with 80.7GB used.
My backup image files are stored to a 500 GB HHD.
I am fairly new to version 2014, having been using 2012 for a few years now.
In the Acronis program list of files/back ups, it shows the back up at 84.33 GB, though the actual file is 44.87 GB. When looking at previous (imaged) files, the size that shows up in 'the list' is closer in size to the actual file.
So curious if this is correct and that the way version 2014 was written, that I have nothing to worry about - when the time comes that I need to actually use an imaged file to restore my PC or clone to a new drive.

As a start, from your main menu, examine visually the data provide on the task which created the backups in question.
The data will indicate the size in GB and the number of files.
Next, click on the location setting and look at the tib files listed. Does the number match and is the combined size prettty close?
If there is a disparity, then the database is out of sync. You can try by correcting via this method.
From inside the task, click the RECOVER OPTION. Don't actually doa recovery but work your way down through the prompts and errors and continue until you finish the prompts. Do NOT DO THE RECOVERY. Cancel before that happens.
Then, look again at the main menu and see the listing of backup size total and file total has changed.

Is it possible that a new image could be larger than the drive itself.
See image of backed up files
vs
image(screen shot) of the save file?
Also interesting, tonites imaged file says "version 3" where as with version 2012, the version numbers are 1.
this 2014 version seems a lot different than my 2012 version.
I understand that Paragons software does produce a large file.
mean time will try your suggestion.
