Acronis True Image 2014 Standard

Thread needs solution

I've downloaded the following ISO from my account and burned to a DVD

Acronis True Image 2014 Standard
Product native bootable media

Build: #6673 Size: 436.50 MB
Date: 2014-02-22 00:00:00

Thru Windows 8.1 Pro I do a recovery to boot from the DVD.
When doing this from my Toshiba Satellite S75t-A7217 it boots into the GUI where I can start to do a backup.

When doing this from my Toshiba Qosmio X70, after I select 1 to go into Acronis True Image 2012, it displays the Acronis Logo then just hangs.

Is there something I can do by going into the kernal mode to bypass something or giving you the last message where it hangs?

Thanks.

A hang in this instance is probably due to an incompatibility of hardware on your X70 or if your X70 is UEFI you need to disable Secure Boot.

Thanks.
I never knew about UEFI.
So for those that have a Toshiba Qosmio X70 here's the steps

Once in the InsysdeH20 Setup Utility (that's what it's called on my Qosmio )
Go to Security, fine Secure Boot and disable it
Then go to Advanced, locate System Configuration and press Enter which will put you in the System Configuration section.
Locate Boot Mode and change to [CSM Boot], it was [UEFI Boot]

You have to disable Secure Boot first because you can't change Boot Mode, it's in a read-only mode until you disable Secure Boot from the Security Tab

Again, thanks Enchantech.
