Hi anyone,

im new with acronis software. i've installed the trial version on my trial exchange 2007 server.

but i got error message when try connect to the server. the message error is similar like this:

I found this cause and solution on Acronis knowledge base but the solution is for windows server 2008.

I'm using win2003 server. I've tried step 1 but the administrator gpolicy cannot be added. it say: This

setting not compatible with computer running win2000 SP1 or earlier. Apply group policy objects

containing this setting only to computer running a later version of the OS.

 

Someone please help me!

Please do the following to solve the issue. Install Microsoft Messaging API and Collaboration Data Objects 1.2.1 on the machine with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.

thank you for your response. For your info, i already installed the MAPI and CDO 1.2.1 downloaded

from microsoft website. But the problem is still same. I don't know what else to do.

Is the trial software can be done on the trial server?

Is there any different from from the original Acronis ?

well since no reply i have to uninstalled Acronis from my exchange server.

hi folks,

i've got exactly the same problem. MAPI and CDO 1.2.1 is installed an i become the error message "can not create MAPI profile. maybe the user haven't a mailbox."

i login with administrator and the administrator have a exchange mailbox. what should i do?

The solution provided in this article can be applied to Windows Server 2008 only. If you use Windows Server 2003, you should add the Administrator group to Log on locally policy instead of Log on as a batch job policy.

Actually, the issue should have been resolved. What is the build number of your product? Please make sure that you are using the latest one #220. If the build number differs from the latest one, please download and install it. You can learn more on how to download the latest build here.

I want to know wheather should I install acronis backup on both server for high avaibility technology in case that  I have a server which is runing server 2008 with hyper-v enabled and handling 10 virtual machines and another server for the high avaibility

What is the exact error message that appears? What is the exact version of Microsoft Exchange Server you are using?
