TI2014 fails after auto cleanup hits threshold

Thread needs solution

Hi,
I am running TI2014 on Win7 64Bit.
Backup scheme is incremental, one fullbackup after 6 increments, no sets of increments older than 62 days.
Since the beginning everything worked well, until a few days ago, when the auto cleanup started.
In the log files I can see that at a specific date a set of 7 increments has been deleted automatically.
Correct so far.
However...since the next day TI comes up with an error message saying one file is missing. This is exactly the last file of the ones which have been deleted automatically.

Any Idea how to fix this?

The experience that you displaying is one reason why I avoid the cleanup option of elapsed days, and avoid the option of limit disk size. Both these type options involve consolidation and consolidation is a setting which I totally avoid. The cleanup opton (automatic deletion) which has worked consistently for me is the "store no more the X recent chains"

I don't know of fix which will make the current task to start working correctly. Your only recourse is to stop using the task and create a new task pointing to a new sub-folder so there is no intermixing of backup files.

GH12. Create Custom Incremental Backup Scheme. 6 Inc, Keep 4 chains.

GH13. Create Custom Differential Backup Scheme. 2 Diff, Keep 2 chains.

GH5. How to delete backup files using Acronis Backup 'Explorer'

GH14. Custom Differential Backup Scheme . 6 Diff, Keep 4 chains. & folder

Thanks for this quick heads up.
I deactivated the old task for now, as soon as the new task has created the 80 versions I need, I'll delete the old task and files.

Would you consider posting a screen capture of your new backup scheme.

Jackko,
Recheck your settings. I believe you have them set wrong.
1 chain= 1 full plus 6 incrementals.
Currently, the settings are to "store no more than 80 recent chais.
In other words, the deletion would not begin until after backup #560 (7 x 80)
-----------------------------------------------------

If you you want only to retain 80 different backups, then change the "store 80" to a new setting of 10 which would be (10 chains of 7 per chain or deletion would begin on backup #78 or after the 7 chains have been completed. A setting of 10 chains would be 10 weeks of backups if you do daily backups. Deletions would begin on the 11 weeks and the first weeks backups (chain 10 would be deleted.

Stop using this wrong new task with 6 and 80, and start over new again with a setting of 6 and 10.
Or, the same as my example except change my 4 to your 10 which would start deletion of the oldl after backup #77.

GH12. Create Custom Incremental Backup Scheme. 6 Inc, Keep 4 chains.
