Suggestion for bootable CD Label

Thread needs solution

I'm sitting here looking at ATI 2010, which I today upgraded-to from ATI 11 as a downloadable software upgrade package, and I'm about to make a Bootable CD (via Create Bootable Rescue Media) which is the way I like to do backups.

Anyway my original ATI 11 Home CD, which I bought via newegg.com, is sitting nearby in all its pretty, blue glory, and I'm thinking "I wonder if Acronis would publish a CD background image so I could print same to my inkjet-printable CD-R blank?"

I don't imagine Acronis would like to make such a thing public, but why not make it (a .bmp or .jpg or .png) available in my Registered Products area just like updates/upgrades/plugins? How about it Acronis?

BTW I already made a .tib backup of this PC to my Seagate FreeAgent external drive, and it worked & verified just fine. So far so good!

Tom, while that would be really nice to have, I think Acronis has more pressing demands on their hands right now - like getting the software to run correctly for everyone.

Ha, ha! I knew to expect responses like yours! But... I'm not stupid and know there are Support people and there are Software people and there are Marketing people and not everyone is wrapped around all the interminable axles (problems) folks have posted here! Besides, they have the likes of You to help them with these.

Thankfully I'm sure Acronis looks at all these posts and will decide for themselves if my suggestion has merit!

Thanks much. It was easy to do since I work so much with screen captures anyway.

I prefer the image with the white background as it uses the least ink as the base printable media is already white. Using the blue background I believe is a waste of ink.

I use the image but also add my serial number to the image so I always have easy access to the serials. If the CD is an upgrade, I also include the serial number of the prior version.

Couldn't care less about a fancy print job on the CD especially when they have a finite life, the next build or version, not when they degrade.

Marking pen is good enough for me. I write to inform, not to impress.

I may be wrong but I thought Acronis did have a template available several versions ago???

Thanks GroverH for your contributions. Nice to know too that there are others as anal as I am about this stuff! ;)

Have a look at what starsfan09 created over on the old Wilders forum at http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=138290
As is mentioned in the thread, you can right click and save the images.

Also, the image at the link created by dld still exists.
