Image with failed sector

I tried to create a disk image recently using TI 2014. I did this after chkdsk with both options selected) had bombed several times giving me an error 1962 - cannot find boot media (This is a Lenovo desktop.) In fact, if I powered the machine down and rebooted, it found the boot sector just fine and appeared to work at least reasonably well.
At any rate, True Image ran to completion, but with one error in the course of operation. It gave me one "Failed to read from sector" error. First, I selected "retry", but it failed again. Then I selected "Ignore" and it ran the rest of the way without any more errors.

So I have three questions -

1. Is the disk image that was created worth saving (as it is obviously missing data from one sector)?
2. Is this a sure sign that I should replace my HD, sooner rather than later?
3. If the disk image is good, but I do replace my HD, does it matter if the new HD has a greater capacity than the current one? (i.e.,

I had a very similar Issue, I purchased various versions of Acronis primarily for cloning my master drive C: and for the couple of times I used the clone tool it worked. However I upgraded to true image 14. I decided to upgrade my motherboard and processor (had intel went to AMD) and ran into all sorts of strife trying to get my system to boot into my Win7 pro the new hardware freaked win7 out and it simply would not boot. Fortunatley I run all my work files from my separate server so I decided to completely format 1 x 2T and 1 x 1T 7200 sata drives and start over with a nice clean system. THEN when I had spent 6 hours installing and configuring my new win7 intall and programs ( I am an A+ certified computer technician ) I installed the acronis true image 14 and that is when all my real problems started. I followed the correct procedure for cloning and the acronis program started up all fine... I chose my brand new C drive (which was working like a dream) as the source drive and my new formatted (lets call it the backup drive)1T sata drive as the destination drive. (windows had recognised the second (backup) drive and assign a correct drive letter to it) as my destination drive. The cloning process ran and seemed to be going great ..then when it finished and rebooted I suddenly started getting error messages that acronis couldnt find any boot drives! I freaked out at that point as I had spent many hours installing and configuring my new windows and programs (and again I stress my system was working perfectly and I have built and configured over 100 systems so I know what I am doing ..so any 'your system must be at fault' responses from acronis are rubbish) So I unplugged everything and started to run through my standard system diagnostics. I discovered eventually that the 'Backup drive' had indeed cloned my primary drive and lo and hehold I could, with only that drive attached to the computer, boot from it. However my original primary drive had somehow had the boot sector deleted from it and was unbootable. I ran the cloning program again now cloning the backup drive back to the original primary drive and after finishing (again with the boot errors messages) managed to get my original drive back and bootable but the second Backup drive had now lost its boot sector making it now useless. All this took hours and hours to figure out and now I do not trust Acronis true image at all to clone my drives. I have paid good money and been a faithful customer for many years but now I am searching for another solution to a simple way to clone my drives. I searched the forums for solutions to this issue but like many acronis customers have found the support system in acronis is terrible and they just wont answer your enquiries or tickets and if they do its always your fault, your systems fault orthe way the moon is hanging in the sky. I know the people at acronis will not take any notice of this post but I just wanted to let people know how disappointed I am in this so called 'cutting edge' program. It failed at a simple task so would i trust it to backup important information from or on my systems... simple answer is NO.

Oh and also I would really like to know why I cant send emails to acronis support anymore and this is the only option for support. They are very quick to get your money but their support is rubbish if you wont pay them extra to support their own products. Disgraceful.
