Questions for Acronis Backup Advanced for PC

Thread needs solution

I would like learn more about Acronis backup advanced for PC. And we are looking for a online backup, this is the new plan going forward.

We need the answers to the following questions before we can decide whether to Acronis backup.

1. How long does it take to make a full backup?
500HDD with 400 Used space.
Want to backup over ethernet (win7 storage node).

2. What is the average file size of a full backup with 500HDD with 400 Used space?

3. Is there any problem/performance issue installing Management Server, Management Console, License Server and Storage node on Windows 7 Pro?

4. Is there any impact on bandwidth or network consumption for backing up 10 computers over the network?

5. Is it able to have a full system restore to a new hard drive from any backup method?

6. How to achieves and reliably using Acronis for backing up open/locked files? Some of our computers will not turn off.

Information is need if anyone can help.

1 - It will be limited either by netowork performance or by Storage Node. If you install Storage Node on a separate machine you can turn off SSL encryption on it to improve performance
2 - Depends mostly on data type and how well it compresses. 70% of original data size for executables.
3 - you may run into limit of simultaneous connections for Windows 7 ( 5 or 10) when using storage node. Management Server makes only outgoing connections to agents.
5 - yes , from a disk/volumes backup.
6 - It creates snaphots, so open files are backed up. If VSS is used, databases that support it will be backed un in consistent state.
