Blue Backup now icons gone in backup list.
I've had to re-instal the trial ATI 2014 yet again and now I find that after I've added backups from my USB drive the scheduled backups haven't started and there isn't a blue 'Backup now' icon so I can't do a manual backup for today. The only option is to Recover which I don't want, I want to Backup. And where do I find how to edit backup schedule, Backup plans and so on? I cannot see anywhere that would allow me to edit my original backups
This software is really getting me down I have to say, after using ATI for about 10 years this is the most difficult to use!
Can anyone please tell what I need to do here?
Thanks.
I also noticed that a lot of my system tray icons have now disappeared as well. Not good.

Hi GroverH, thanks for the response. After I posted I decided to go back to 2011 build 6492 but the fault I had was still there. Now, when I use the cleanup utility, it appears to be doing it's jib but when I try to instal 2014 it tells me that I need to remove 2011 first. I've several registry cleans but to no avail. I guess I'm looking for the registry key which needs to be deleted to remove the trace of 2011 that 2014 is finding?
The silly thing is that I had re-installed 2011 twice before but cleanup was able to get rid of it, but now it won't?
How can I remove 2011 to allow me to instal 2014?
Many thanks.

Look to the bottom of this KB link for what I think is the solution for your problem.

Hi Enchantech
Sadly, I had already discovered the cleanup utility and have run it numerous times but I still cannot re-instal 2011 0r 2014, I'm told t uninstal one of the other first, which I've done on many occasions now! I wasn't aware of the two keys you mentioned but I checked them and found none of the itmes you mentioned.
Since installing 2014 in the first place I had been plagued by BSOD's, BAD_POOL_HEADER every time, STOP:19. I managed to get round that by using 'Last known good configuraion' as thw Windows Repair disk failed to effect a repair.
I'm coming to the conclusion that my system, now 4 years old, could do with a complete overhaul/format as the amount of time I've spent trying to get ATI working I could have done that by now! I feel a bit 'exposed 'without a backup facility that is working and a suspect system so I need to do something quick. I don't see any point in doing another image using a different software as the system faults will still be there.
Anyway, I appreciate the help, keep it coming if there are other things to try.

Mike,
When performing the cleanup as suggested by MVP Enchantech, are you performing these two functions as insructed by the cleanup?
extract from cleanup utility
(!) After using Cleanup Utility, it is strongly recommended NOT to reboot the machine, go to Start -> Run -> regedit, and verify that there are no snapman*, fltsrv, tdrpman*, vidsflt*, timounter strings in the following keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} -> UpperFilters and LowerFilters
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{71A27CDD-812A-11D0-BEC7-08002BE2092F} -> UpperFilters and LowerFilters
---------------------------------------------
The upper and lower filters must not be deleted but if their contents contain ( no snapman*, fltsrv, tdrpman*, vidsflt*, timounter string)
these items must be edited/modified/removed from the upper and lower filters.
Note, it is also possible to do the regedit and remove any reg entries before performing the cleanup as well.

Hi GroverH
I've just done the cleanup utility again and in the first registry key I see none of the items mentioned. There is an Upper Filters which shows Partmgr, but no Lower Filters.
The second key, again, I see none of the items you mentioned. Upper Filters shows oodivd EUBKMON EUBAKUP. No Lower Filters shows.
Does no lower filters indicate a problem? If I can't re-instal 2014 I won't be able to get them back!

Here are some links that may shed some light on your issue. What I see as common is that the error that you have indicated you get is in almost all cases tied to bad RAM memory. I would suggest removing all but 1 stick of RAM with that stick being installed in the number 1 memory slot on the motherboard and test for the error again. If you get the error again try another stick, if no error then you can be relatively certain that the memory stick used when error occurs is faulty.

I have now bitten the bullet and re-installed Windows 7 and ATI 2014 trial. All is working OK at the moment but I would like to know if it is possible to limit the bandwidth used by ATI as it is really slowing my laptop down appreciably.
I am also trialling i-Drive and that does have a bandwidth 'throttle' so I normally allow it to use 80% of the bandwidth, otherwise I get stick from the lady wife!

Here is a link to performance settings within the application, maybe this will help.
