What's the status of the wireless keyboard/mouse problem

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I am also experiencing the problem that others have with a wireless keyboard and mouse not working with the Acronis True Image Home 2010 bootable rescue media.

The rescue disc is useless for me.

Why is there no fix yet?

The strange thing is, in the boot screen (where it lets me select whether to boot into the full version, system report or Windows) the keyboard works.

This is really crap quality control and is symptomatic of a company that is getting too large.

I've used Acronis for quite a few years and have been quite happy. But there has been a rapid slide recently into corporate mediocrity that is worrying. It won't take much more for me to jump ship and go with some other back up solution (even Windows 7 built in stuff).

Where is the fix?

Scott.

Hello Scott,

First of all, please accept our apologies for the delay with the response.

I'm aware of the issue you have and will do my best to help you.

We have just uploaded new ISO images to our website. Those new images based on an alternate bootloader and the fix for wireless kit detection is already implemented there.

Please do the following to download that new bootable media:

  • Scroll down to the registered product and click Bootable Media:

  • Click Download:

Acronis Bootable Media will be downloaded as an ISO file. Check this KB article if you are not familiar with ISO-burning.

The permanent fix for the issue will be available in the next official build of Acronis True Image Home 2010.

Thank you.
